We are part of an international organization determined to fight
irrational smoking bans.
For many years now, our government has targeted smokers as the object of psycological
persecution, moral lynching, and public apartheid. This affects over a quarter of Canada's
population, and it has no precedent in the history of this country.
The anti-smoking industry claims to be based on scientific evidence. We are here to prove that
this evidence is largely flawed and manipulated. We believe that the real reason for this
persecution stems from the wider and much more dangerous tendency of the state to control the personal choice of citizens, just by deeming some choices "unhealthy".
Smoking prohibition is just one goal of a much broader policy of state interference in our lives, and it must be stopped.
Smoking is a right, not a privilege. While we do not advocate smoking, neither do we advocate the ostracization of a segment of the population based on a widely prevalent view that what they do with their
own bodies is unhealthy or undesirable. We believe that tobacco is
not a choice to be ashamed of.
The issue of smoking choice should properly be seen in the context of the rights of an individual
in our society to control his/her own body and destiny.
The battle for this control is currently being waged between the state and advocates of individual rights on a number of fronts.
We believe that smoking is a human right, and we intend to stop
and reverse any anti-smoking policy that does not indicate respect and accommodation for
Canada's 6 million smokers.
There can be no compromise in the struggle against health fascism.

We have received the answer of Joy MacPhail, B.C. Minister of Health, to the letter FORCES Canada sent to her on October 4th, 1996 (click here to see our letter). Thank you for the answer Mrs. MacPhail, but you told us nothing. We are now forced to write to you again, and to ask very pointed questions about your position. No avoidance this time, please! Dodging questions, or not answering at all will change nothing.
Is it ever possible that all antismokers sound exacltly the same? It is like playing back the same tape, over and over again, no matter what the questions are. Not even a little bit of imagination, for Pete's sake!

We are not satisfied with your answer, Minister. Once again, the attempt to dodge our valid points in "politically correct" fashion demonstrates the hollowness of your rhetoric, facts, and position. So this time we have formulated our questions in an unescapable way. We expect a satisfactory answer as citizens and taxpayers. Please make it a real one.

The persecution of smokers in Canada and United States is getting worse exponentially. All levels of governments have chosen to see and finance just one side of the issue, thus dialogue with government is impossible. Smokers are lebelled "drug addicts", and treated accordingly. Media are either supporting antismoking, obeying state or interest groups directives to ignore the evidence of the pro-choice side, or they are afraid to report them. Therefore, the media black-out is virtually total. The only free voice of the pro-choice left in North America is the Internet, and private fax networks. WE APPEAL TO THE READERS OF THE WORLD to help the North American smokers to fight this violation of human rights by both a system and interest groups that in other times and places would have been called fascists or even political criminals, and would have been dealt with accordingly. Please help us by divulging our information in your countries, and through all kinds of boycott of North American-made products and tourism, by letter writing to Canadian and U.S. embassies and consulates, and any other conceivable means.

Studies performed by reputable entities, demonstrating that the smoking issue has been blown out of proportion by a hate campaign fuelled with taxpayers money, led by a government instigating the mass hysteria to distract us from the real issue: state control.
